How is America to be defined? By its failures or its triumphs? Today, there seems to be an obsession with the former and a dismissal of the latter. Is this dark vision of the freest and most prosperous nation on earth an accurate narrative or a cynical distortion? James Robbins, columnist for USA Today and author of “Erasing America,” considers that question in this video. How we view America’s past will very much shape America’s future.
This is one of the consequences of allowing the left to arbitrate what is acceptable in our culture.
Once you appease the left, on any issue, they, like all fascists, smell blood in the water, and move on to devour other issues. Same sex marriage leads to the the left’s current gender identity hysteria. Never underestimate the animating fervor of the multiple sexual pathologies that animate large slices of the left’s ideology.
And now you have a teacher traumatizing children by telling them a boy is magically a girl.
Once the left is given permission to tear down historical monuments, they predictably move on to banning classic movies. Soon copies of Margaret Mitchell’s novel will be gone from the bookshelves.
The lesson here is simple. We must never allow the left to dictate the rules of culture. Because when they do, totalitarian repression follows and free speech is one of the first casualties.
Because the left has one major goal: destroy the traditional family and replace it with big government.
IslamoNazi Linda Sarsour, the Democratic Party’s flavor of the month, gained legitimacy when Barack Obama invited her to the White House for some face time with the Dear Leader.
She has been all over the place ever since, leading the so-called resistance against President Trump: accusing him of being a white supremacist and an Islamophobe, and, I assume, of having cooties.
In a sane world, Sarsour would be recognized for what she is: a sharia-yearning IslamoNazi who seeks to undermine the foundations of western civilization.
The anti-gun fervor that grips Obama and the Democrat party serves dual political strategies.
The first is to make believe that IslamoNazi ideology does not exist. The Obama regime fantasizes that radical Islam is, um, workplace violence, or violent extremism — anything other than what it obviously is, and what the terrorists tells us it is.
Which is why the Obama DOJ are censoring—rewriting history—20 minutes of the phone calls made by the Orlando terrorist. Remember, every impulse of postmodern progressives is totalitarian.
