Obama’s predictably tedious speech the other night indulged in moral preening and all but accused the American people of reverting to their racist DNA. Indeed, Obama’s main concern seemed to be that Americans would target innocent American Muslims for persecution.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch says that her “greatest fear” is not Islamic terrorism but Islamophobia.
This dreaded anti-Muslim backlash, which has never taken place, is nothing but a liberal delusion.
In fact, religious-based crimes in America are overwhelmingly committed by Muslims against — you guessed it — Jews.
As John Hinderaker writes:
The FBI’s latest statistics, for 2014, show a total of 1,140 religion-based hate crimes in the U.S. Only 16% (182) were directed against Muslims, about one for every 44,000 Muslims living in the U.S.
Actually, Muslims are more likely to perpetrate hate crimes than to be victimized by them. In 2014, more than half of the religion-based hate crimes–58%–were directed against Jews, and in many instances were perpetrated by Muslims.
Thus Obama and the postmodern Democrat party not only deny the obvious connection between Islam and terrorism, but also seek to position Muslims as tragic victims… when the actual victims of Muslim Jew-hatred are Jews.

An excellent article on the vast scale of Muslim extremism:
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/428146/more-than-few-islamic-extremists
The President does have the power to pause all immigration from Muslim-majority countries; authorized by Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Naturalization Act, which provides:
(f)Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. …
Trump has thrown the cat in amongst the pigeons and the results will be interesting. The early data suggests around 50+% of Americans support a pause in Muslim immigration. Even 43% of Democrats support it. Another incident and the numbers will look like someone is giving away free land.
Lots of weak kneed Republicans shaming Trump. Paul Ryan is even growing a beard, it is hilarious. The left is foaming at the mouth but a lot of Trump support is from Democrats.
The problem with Trump is that he says a lot of things, and while some may sound reasonable, many others completely trample on the Constitution. His latest brainstorm is that “freedom of speech is advocated by foolish people” and that it needs to be curtailed.
So even if you think you like what he’s proposing, you may want to consider: do you want a president who absolutely, positively does NOT approve of what is in the Constitution? Who will be lying through his teeth while he’s taking the oath of office?
Yes, we’ve had a lot of them in the past century. Pretty much all presidents since 1905 or thereabouts, in fact. That doesn’t mean we should be happy about it, nor that we should approve of one who promises to stomp the constitution into dust (as opposed to promising to obey it while not actually doing as promised).
Also: remember that Trump is not a friend of Israel. Yesterday Fox did one of a series of topic by topic comparisons of the 5 leading Republican candidates. One item was support of Israel, where they reported that all say they support Israel, but Trump was the only one of the 5 who said that Israel needs to make concessions.
Of course, that’s all that Israel has been doing, and only Israel has been doing, since 1948. And it is just what Hillary and Barack have been saying.
I agree that he’s not presidential material, but I DO enjoy the apoplectic fits he’s giving both parties, the msm and the pc crowd 😉
We have always, as has every other nation, in time of stress curtailed civil liberties in the name of security.
