The Gates of Hell or $15,000,000,000,000

Fifteen trillion dollars.

Today, the US National debt passed the fifteen trillion-dollar mark. That’s quite a record.

Welcome to the gates of hell.

If you want to see our—your debt—in action, here’s the US National debt clock live. I stared at it for about one minute and my head started to pound.

Interest on our debt represents about a third of the cost of Social Security. In about 20-years the interest will exceed the cost of that program.

You can confiscate the wealth of every millionaire and billionaire in America and the money wouldn’t even begin to make a dent in the national debt.

Taxes are not the answer. They are simply a ploy in Obama’s class war against the free market.

Another horrifying number: the US government is now gobbling up 40% of our GDP. This means that trillions of dollars from our economy are used merely to feed itself—a bloated series of interlocking, self-perpetuating bureaucracies.

Welcome to Obamaville.

These government agencies do not produce wealth, they do not innovate. In fact, they accomplish the exact opposite. They devour our wealth, and impede product and market innovation through monstrous mazes of regulations that only give birth to unemployment and the loss of wealth.

If implemented, Obamacare will bury us.

The Obamacare statutes contain 961 pages. And don’t forget, Congressional bills are printed with wide margins in a small font. There are, get this, 1,093 pages of regulations. The regulations are 270% as long as the statute itself. And the 1.1 million words in Obamacare regulations published so far are only a fraction of the regulations yet to come. Regulations always give birth to more regulations in order to repair the damage caused by the original regulations. This cycle perpetuates itself ad infinitum. Witness the old Soviet Union.

Within those sloppily written 2,700 pages of proposed regulations are thousands of poison pills that will raise the cost of health care on every American, force excellent physicians to retire early, medical practises to shutter their doors, and deprive the elderly and most needy of proper medical care.

Health care in America will devolve into a mirror of the DMV and the US Post Office.

Further, Obamacare will solidify the federal government’s dominion over your body. If the government controls health care then, by default, it has the right to—the elite call it a benevolent obligation—tell you what you can and cannot put in your body. Say goodbye to French Fries and all those yummy but evil Transfats.

The state does not want to bear the costs of the medical care you incur by ingesting food the state deems dangerous. If you resist by eating what you wish—or, gasp, smoking—you are an enemy of the state, an enemy of the people.

The Orwellian language of Obamacare should send a chill up the spine of free people. There are no doctors or nurses. They are “Health Workers.”

Europe is burning, their welfare states, founded on universal health care and a work force of government employees, have finally imploded. The money to support these delusional economies does not exist. It never existed. It was, is, and always will be a utopian dream.

And when utopia is the goal, hell becomes the inevitable destination.

America, under Obama and the Democrats, apparently like what they see because they are guiding America towards the exact same fate.

The OWS movement is just the tip of Obama’s spear; the waging of a ruthless campaign of class warfare whose strategic goal is that you and I, our children and grandchildren, are no longer free, self-reliant citizens but entitlement supplicants, dependant on the machinery of big government ru by a single political party.

Comment Rules

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

  1. No profanity.
  2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Considering the innate State of Man, I don’t see Washington changing anytime soon.  The complexities of the problem overwhelm me and, some of the time, I actually care.  Plus, my innate values are not tied into perpetuating the Problem.
However – I can at least ponder what the Torah says:  G-d chooses Kings and Controls the Hearts of Kings…
We can clearly see this in play when President Bush was chosen by the Supreme Court.
For the casual observer, it might have seemed like a simple senseless political expediency – No worse or better than Algore, the High Priest of Baal of the Warming Glo.
In my opinion, on 9/11, I learned why G-d chose President Bush.
I suspect that Obama was chosen to create the conditions where Americans (and the world) are forced to “make bricks without straw.”  He is here to make the severity of our problems apparent.
Which then gives rise to my theory that it is possible that the only historian in the Republican lineup; the man who was actually responsible for the proverbial “Clinton” balanced budget and subsequent (imaginary, but touted) “Federal Surplus;” who is a total “loose cannon,” lacking in charismatic skills, with huge “political baggage; someone who was written off long ago as a “has been” with absolutely no chance of ever getting the nomination…. may actually be the next President of the United States – Newt Gingrich.
    “G-d chooses Kings…”

Remember the good old days when Democrats were criticizing Bush for running a deficit under 100 billion?  Now they act like a trillion and a half deficit under Obama is a sign of fiscal restraint and that if anyone’s budget is cut by a dollar we’ll having people keeling over in the street.

And the politicians in DC, including a lot of Republicans still don’t understand the problem.  When the super committee is charged with coming up with a cuts, how come Boehner and other Republicans are shouting from the rooftops that it’s not really a cut but just a reduction in the expected budget increases?  It’s like me cutting out my vacation to Australia in 2018 while buying a fleet of BMWs the next 4 years.

After 1994 I thought the Republicans were going to change the parameters of the budget language and bring some reality to DC that the rest of us have to live with.  I wish some of the intrepid reporters would ask Gingrich and the other candidates, including Obama, what happened to zero based budgeting.  If they say the government is too big for that, you’ve got your answer.

It has amazed the members of Congress – if they didn’t have an outraged public – would continue to borrow even more massively than they do now – sort of like the crazy uncle who always makes a dollar and spends $1.50 (actually about the same ratio as our crazy Congress) – all the while insisting “Everything’s OK”
