The Inconvenient Truth About the Republican Party

When you think of the Republican Party, what comes to mind? If you’re like many Americans, you may associate the GOP with racism, sexism, and general inequality. It’s a commonly pushed narrative by left-leaning media and academia, but as former Vanderbilt Professor of Political Science Carol Swain explains, the Republican Party was actually responsible for nearly every advancement for minorities and women in U.S. history—and remains the champion of equality to this day.

I should clarify the above statement. Robert you and I and many who comment here seem to be around the same age (boomers). The Left part of the boomers went into the institutions as employees and administrators starting with the colleges (the arts) and certain local governments (especially large cities) and entertainment. By having a long term goal tehy succeeded in capturing the government especially the Federal part of regulatory and administration. Once this happened business of whom upper regions of management and ownership had become distant from the people capitulated. But they made a great mistake (fatal in my opinion) in abandoning the majority of Americans. Understandable from their view point in that they thought they had it made. But it just made them lazy, fat, and stupid along with the Republicans who sold out ( a majority) and made them easy targets for someone like Trump to take on.
I would like to think that Trump’s arrival was foreordained, but I don’t believe you can see the future that well. Trump is a manifestation of a movement not the movement itself.

I believe we and the world are on the cusp of great changes similar to 1500 or even the collapse of the Classical world. There is a tide running through events that I don’t can be stopped at least very easily. We really won’t be the tide, but there will be a place for us. Also there will be set backs, but I believe overall it’s happening.
Unfortunately these times of great changes usually meant times of great danger for you and your people. Be vigilant.
I trust that was confusing enough (it’s early and I just dashed it off from the top of my head).

All that above is true about the old Republican Party. But they became corrupt and now need to leave the political stage.
