Smart power in action
Consider four seemingly unrelated events that happened, almost simultaneously, across continents.
An Israeli airstrike in the country formerly known as Syria eliminated an Iranian general and several top Hezbollah terrorists including Jihad Mughniyeh, son of the dead terrorist Imad Mugniyeh.
The Shi’ite Houthi militia, which is armed and controlled by Iran, has just stormed the Yemeni presidential palace.
It is alleged that Alberto Nisman, an Argentinian prosecutor, committed suicide the night before he was to reveal explosive details of an alleged deal between Argentina and Iran to cover up the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association building in Buenos Aires in which 84 Jews — men, women and children — were slaughtered. Make no mistake about it: Alberto Nisman was murdered.
- The Obama administration has threatened to veto any new sanctions against Iran.
Islamic Iran is on a genocidal march. Ever since the United States embassy was seized on Jimmy Carter’s flabby watch, the Iranians have used any means possible to achieve hegemony across the Middle East. Of course, becoming a nuclear power will allow them to reach their goal.
Imagine for a moment that you are a mullah — a bloodthirsty, Jew-hating, Christian-loathing fanatic — sitting across from Barack Obama, negotiating a nuclear deal.
You already know that he is weak: his famous red lines disappear as quickly as lines in the desert sand vanish in the wind.
You know that he is an appeaser of Islam because he justifies genocidal Islam at every opportunity.
You also know that he is a fool because he is releasing terrorists held at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp — terrorists who will, without question, return to jihad to murder, rape, and torture scores of innocent people around the world.
Now imagine that you are watching John Kerry and James Taylor putting smart power into action in France.
You are laughing your head off… because you have been given the gift of Barack Hussein Obama.
