Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs.
Yesterday, The New York Times published a hit piece on Pamela Geller who is in the vanguard of activist, anti-Sharia bloggers. It’s an outrageous piece of propaganda disguised as objective journalism.
Pamela has no need for Seraphic Secret to defend her brave and important work; she can take care of herself quite nicely.
Have you noticed that the liberal smear machine reserve their most bitter attacks for self-made, articulate and yup, pro-Israel, Conservative women?
The ridicule directed at Sarah Palin is, let’s face it, unhinged.
Ditto for the vicious verbal assaults on Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Michelle Bachman, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina, S.E. Cupp, Nikki Haley, Carrie Prejean… It’s a long list and my typing fingers are getting tired.
But hey, if you are a Conservative woman and the left has targeted you for political and personal destruction, well, you can be sure that you are an effective advocate for traditional American values—small government, small taxes, a belief in American exceptionalism—and you are scaring the left out of its so-called mind.
One of the reasons that so-called mainstream journalism is fast becoming extinct is because the average American understands that the elites have contempt for those who, in the words of President Obama, “… cling to their guns and their religion.”
The average American sees quite clearly that liberals and their media lapdogs are fanatically devoted to a multicultural vision of the world that is not just a fantasy—as was their vision of Communism—but a recipe for national suicide, a strategy that supports political Islam, a ruthless theocracy that insists on the genocidal eradication of all non-Muslims.
In short, the modern liberal enables the Islamists who advocate the establishment—by any means—of a world wide caliphate.
But, points out Ms. Geller, there is one good thing that has emerged from the swamp of innuendo, lies and half-truths constructed by the NYT.
And the silver lining is a brief but articulate letter:
Dear Ms. Geller,
One good thing about the NYT article, it led me to your blog.
As a Jewish guy who lived in Israel for almost 5 years this blog is like the breeze off Lake Michigan in the morning (I live in Chicago’s version of Long Island I guess Highland Park) it clears away the fog.
I had despaired of finding a person in the States who understood the situation. The analogy I like to use is that after Pearl Harbor did FDR get up there and say, We don’t hate Japanese, there are certain people who happen to be Japanese that have attacked us but they are not all our enemies, just the bad ones. No, he had Congress declare war and the only acceptable outcome was Unconditional Surrender.
And nobody talked about discrimination, we certainly did not invite Japanese nationals and German Nazis to immigrate here during the war “for a better life”. They were the enemy, full stop no question.
Today Islam is what the Nazis and Japanese were then.
To be fair, all countries and ideologies want to be top dog.
So, they are just doing their job.
However , as of now, we hold that spot and I see no reason to give it up without a fight.
Thank you for what you do.
If one reader arrived at this common sense conclusion then I have no doubt that thousands will react in the same way.
Like Stalinists, the dhimmis in the liberal media are constructing their own machinery of destruction.
