The mainstream media are not terribly interested in this story.
That’s because their outrage is only a tactic in the liberal war against Conservatives. Liberals are not really upset about Trayvon Martin’s death. They only view Martin as a prop in their kabuki theater. To be moral one must have consistent values. But liberals have selective values—Romney’s dog-on-the-roof in contrast to Barack eating dog—where anger and smugness substitute for morality.
George Zimmerman is a “white Hispanic” who carried a gun and shot a black man. Thus he is an evil racist. If the liberal media even bothered to cover this story, which they won’t, they would designate Alton Hayes a “frustrated youth who has no other means of expressing his legitimate grievances in a racist society.” It’s the same progressive thinking that justifies homicide bombings against Jews in Israel.
By the way, if George Zimmerman is a white Hispanic doesn’t it follow that Barack Obama is a white black man?
Maywood, Ill. — Alton L. Hayes III, a west suburban man charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man early Tuesday.
Hayes and a 15-year-old Chicago boy walked up behind the 19-year-old man victim and pinned his arms to his side, police said. Hayes, 18, then picked up a large tree branch, pointed it at the man and said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.”
The two allegedly rifled through the victim’s pockets, then threw him to the ground and punched him “numerous times” in the head and back before running away, police said. Hayes and the boy are black; the victim is white.
After being arrested, Hayes told police he was upset by the Trayvon Martin case and beat the man up because he was white, Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said, citing court records. . . .
Hayes, 18 of the 1200 block of North Woodbine Avenue in Oak Park, was charged with attempted robbery, aggravated battery and a hate crime, all felonies, Oak Park police Detective Cmdr. Ladon Reynolds said.

The big deal is that the Obama people are making a big deal about how Romney used to transport his dog, painting him as a dog-abusing meanie. He says the dog loved it, which is more than Obama can say about the dogs he ate.

I’ve seen a doc about kabuki and the participants at least have some real talent. Sharpton, Jackson et al only have a talent for stirring up racial grievances. Sharpton is just looking for his next Tawana Brawley.

Despite the fact that the young man was assaulted, the system seems to have functioned in a reasonable way. Perhaps the alarum sounded by Sharpton, et al., will redound to a more level playing field for all victims of crime. Talk about the law of unintended consequences, Rev. Dr. Sharpton.

Sharpton would point to this case as proof that the system is racist because the black kid was immediately arrested whereas Zimmerman’s arrest—according to Al—was too long in coming.
Further, the point of the story is not the “system” rather the selective moral outrage that animates liberal/progressives. If a liberal is truly outraged by racism than cases of black on white crime should provoke as much outrage as other crimes that are motivated by racism.
But we know that this is not the case. Black on white crime—common as dirt—is routinely ignored if not justified by liberal progressives.
It should be noted that Zimmerman has been branded a “white Hispanic” in order to portray him as a white racist. However, there is no evidence that Zimmerman is a racist, much less that he is white.
The double standard is breathtaking.

Why is it “reasonable” for a man to be arrested because of a public outcry orchestrated by a pack of race huslers? The police had determined that there was no reason to arrest Zimmerman. His arrest on these flimsy charges, with critical evidence in his favor wrongfully omitted from the affidavit, as Allen Dershowitz has pointed out, occurred only because of the lynch-mob mentality of the race hustlers and their liberal enablers among the media. Zimmerman’s life has been threatened by black racists, and the authorities have let it pass. This is what you consider to be functioning in a reasonable manner?
