Walking Away From the Democrats

You will be forgiven if you are not aware of the burgeoning #walkawaycampaign. The left wing media—which is to say the Praetorian Guard of the Democrat Party—has done everything in its power to make believe it does not exist.

Brendan Straka’s video (above) which kicked off the movement, is the spark that lit the fire.

I’d also like to add that if you support Israel against the IslamoNazis who call themselves Palestinians, a faux nationality dreamed up by the KGB in the 60s—then you really have to leave the Democrat party, which is increasingly hostile to Israel, and let’s face it, anti-Zionism is just another form of Jew-Hatred.

The main question I have about those who walkaway is: will they now vote Republican?

Over at Townhall, Joy Overbeck analyzes the importance of the #walkaway movement.

The #walkaway campaign is now over 100,000 strong in just a few weeks.  These are former liberals who have discovered, as its founder Brandon Straka says in his video, “the Democratic Party’s greatest and most insidious lie:” That without them, you are nothing. As Straka puts it, “They will insist that you are a victim doomed to exist within a system that is rigged against you…that you are a victim of systematic oppression…that you are a victim of your circumstances, and no amount of hard work or motivational action will ever allow you to overcome your victimhood or the privilege of those around you.”

In rejecting the Greatest Lie, the members of #walkaway are rejecting the Democrats’ only recruitment tool – victimization. Those walking away are rebels, an “awoke” army declaring their freedom as individuals, claiming their futures and their very lives. They’re ringing an echo of the patriots of 1776.

As Candace Owens of TurningPointUSA put it in her electrifying speech onstage at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, they are fleeing the plantation of Democrat servitude. Most of all, they are awakening to the self-actualization and fierce can-do spirit that is at the very core of the American experiment.

Here’s hoping many of them will. But here’s the thing: they don’t have to, all they need to do is stop voting Dem.

There are a whole group of topics on YouTube by Victor Davis Hanson – and I just watched one on how Trump won. He makes a lot of great points, and one that stuck with me is how the Democratic Party is like a pyramid with the “coastal elites” at the top.

They are the ones who lecture us on global warming, but won’t give up their private jets. Who send their children to private schools, but insist we send ours to public schools.

A lot of great thoughts here – I’ll have to listen to this in detail tomorrow (I am up even later than you Robert!)

Trump picked up a huge block of people – and yes, even blacks and American Hispanics and Hanson explains why.
